Wall Brown
Pararge megera

Wall Browns inhabit sunny grasslands, woodland edges, dunes, and rocky banks, where adults frequently bask on bare ground or walls. They drink flower nectar and may also feed from moisture and minerals on damp soil. Males are notably territorial, making short, rapid flights to investigate and drive away other butterflies from sunny patches.
