Brown Hawk-Owl
Ninox scutulata

The Brown Hawk-Owl inhabits forests, plantations, parks, and wooded settlements across South and Southeast Asia. Mostly active at dusk and night, it watches from a perch before swooping down on insects, rodents, lizards, and small birds. Its large forward-facing eyes provide excellent low-light vision, while its repetitive calls often reveal its presence after dark.
