White-dotted Prominent
Nadata gibbosa

The adult White-dotted Prominent is a gray-brown moth of deciduous forests and wooded neighborhoods in eastern North America. It flies chiefly at night and is often attracted to lights. Adults have reduced mouthparts and generally do not feed, relying on reserves gathered as caterpillars. Its pale white dot and subtly mottled wings help break up its outline while resting on bark.
