Rosy Boa
Lichanura trivirgata

Rosy boas inhabit arid rocky slopes, desert washes, and scrubland in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. Mostly active at dusk or at night, they ambush rodents, lizards, and occasionally birds before subduing prey by constriction. Unlike many snakes, they are notably calm and slow-moving when handled.
