Forest Cobra
Naja melanoleuca

The forest cobra inhabits tropical forests, wooded savannas, and waterways across central and western Africa. It actively hunts rodents, frogs, birds, fish, and other small vertebrates, often moving between the ground and water. When threatened, it raises its body, spreads its broad hood, and may deliver venom through a rapid bite.
