Egyptian Cobra
Naja haje

The Egyptian cobra inhabits savanna, desert margins, farmland, and settlements, often using holes or abandoned burrows for shelter. It feeds chiefly on rodents, birds, lizards, amphibians, and other small animals, subduing prey with venomous bites. When threatened, it raises its forebody, spreads its broad hood, and hisses as a warning display.
