Grey Reef Shark
Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos

Grey reef sharks inhabit clear tropical and subtropical waters around coral reefs, reef passes, and outer reef slopes. They patrol actively, feeding chiefly on bony fish, squid, octopus, and crustaceans, often becoming more active at dusk and dawn. Individuals may rest in groups by day but hunt as single sharks. A threatened shark gives a conspicuous display by arching its back, lowering its pectoral fins, and swimming with exaggerated movements.
