Giant Guitarfish
Rhynchobatus djiddensis

The giant guitarfish lives over sandy and muddy seabeds in warm coastal waters of the western Indian Ocean and Red Sea. It spends much of its time resting on the bottom, often blending into the substrate, but swims strongly when disturbed. It feeds on bottom-dwelling fishes, crustaceans, and mollusks, crushing or gripping prey with its broad jaws. Despite its shark-like tail and dorsal fins, it is a ray with a flattened body.
