Rummy-nose Tetra
Petitella rhodostoma

Adult rummy-nose tetras inhabit warm, clear to tea-colored tributaries and flooded forest waters of the Amazon basin. They feed on tiny aquatic invertebrates, zooplankton, and plant material while moving through open water and cover. Their vivid red snout and sharply barred black-and-white tail are especially striking in clean, well-oxygenated water.
