Brahminy Blind Snake
Indotyphlops braminus

The Brahminy blind snake spends most of its life burrowing through loose earth, rotting vegetation, and the nests of ants or termites. It feeds mainly on soft-bodied insect brood, using its small mouth to pick prey from tight spaces. It emerges most often after rain or at night, when the ground is moist. This species is unusual because most individuals are female and can reproduce without mating.
