Banded Bent-toed Gecko
Cyrtodactylus pulchellus

The banded bent-toed gecko inhabits humid lowland forests, where it rests on trunks, rocks, and vegetation by day and forages after dark. It ambushes insects and other small invertebrates with a quick lunge and bite. Irregular dark bands provide effective camouflage among bark and shadow. Like many geckos, it can shed its tail to distract a predator and later regrow it.
