Cave Cricket
Lepidocyrtus cinctus

Lepidocyrtus cinctus is a tiny elongate springtail found in damp leaf litter, soil, decaying wood, and caves. It feeds chiefly on fungi, algae, and decomposing organic material, using small chewing mouthparts. When disturbed, it snaps its forked jumping organ against the ground to launch itself away from danger.
