Japanese Camel Cricket
Diestrammena japanica

Japanese camel crickets inhabit humid caves, forest-floor shelters, and dark human-made spaces such as basements. They emerge mainly at night to eat fungi, decaying vegetation, and occasional small insects. Their arched backs, exceptionally long antennae, and powerful hind legs let them make sudden leaps when disturbed.
