Iberian Magpie
Cyanopica cooki

The Iberian magpie inhabits open oak woodland, scrubland, orchards, and park-like countryside across central and southern Iberia. It forages actively through trees and on the ground for insects, fruit, seeds, carrion, and small animals. Adults are agile fliers and use their stout bills to probe, pick, and carry food. Unlike the similar azure-winged magpie populations farther east, this species is restricted to the Iberian Peninsula.
