Gold Marbled Farlowella
Chaetostoma formosae

Adults live on the bottoms of clear, oxygen-rich foothill streams, especially over stones and submerged wood. They use a suction-cup mouth to scrape algae and biofilm while holding position in strong currents. Bony armor plates protect the body, and their cryptic marbling makes them difficult to spot against the streambed.
