Eastern Asian Formicine Ant
Nylanderia flavipes

Eastern Asian formicine ants inhabit leaf litter, gardens, forest edges, and disturbed ground across eastern Asia. Workers rapidly forage for small insects, sugary honeydew, and other accessible food, then return to the nest. When threatened, they can bite with their mandibles and use formic acid as a chemical defense.
