Caribbean Rock Mantis Shrimp
Neogonodactylus wennerae

Adults live in shallow Caribbean reef habitats, usually sheltering in cavities beneath rocks or within coral rubble. They stalk and ambush small crustaceans, snails, and other invertebrates from the entrance of a burrow. Their exceptionally fast raptorial strike can smash hard prey and is among the quickest movements known in the animal kingdom.
