Javan Pipistrelle
Pipistrellus javanicus
The Javan pipistrelle occupies forests, plantations, villages, and urban edges across parts of Southeast Asia. It emerges around dusk to catch small flying insects, often hunting along clearings and around lights. Rapid echolocation calls help it navigate and locate prey in darkness, while its narrow wings allow agile flight.
