Common Rose Butterfly
Pachliopta aristolochiae

Adults fly through sunny forest clearings, gardens, mangroves, and open woodland across South and Southeast Asia. They feed on flower nectar while moving between flowering plants with a slow, graceful flight. The black wings marked with red advertise the chemical protection retained from the caterpillar's host plant.
