Handmaiden Moth
Amata huebneri
Adult Handmaiden Moths fly actively through sunny forest clearings, woodland edges, and flowering gardens in tropical Asia. They visit flowers for nectar and move quickly between vegetation during the day. Their dark wings and contrasting markings give them a wasp-like appearance that can discourage predators. Unlike the leaf-eating caterpillar, the adult relies on flight and nectar feeding.
