Variable Field Grass Moth
Achyra nudalis

Adult variable field grass moths are active chiefly at night around fields, gardens, and weedy open places. They fly low through vegetation and may visit flowers for nectar while seeking mates and egg-laying sites. Females place eggs on suitable host plants for the next generation of leaf-feeding larvae. The adult's pale, variable wing markings provide camouflage when it rests among dry vegetation.
