Palm-nut Vulture
Gypohierax angolensis

Palm-nut Vultures inhabit tropical forests, palm groves, rivers, and wetlands across parts of sub-Saharan Africa. They fly between treetops and shorelines, feeding chiefly on oil-palm fruit but also taking crabs, fish, and other small animals. Unlike most vultures, this species relies heavily on fruit, giving it a distinctive place among birds of prey.
