Townsend's Big-eared Bat
Corynorhinus townsendii

Townsend's big-eared bats roost in caves, abandoned mines, hollow trees, and buildings across western North America. At night they fly slowly and maneuverably through woodland edges and open spaces, catching moths and other insects. Their enormous ears help them detect faint prey sounds, while echolocation assists navigation and hunting.
