Kribensis
Pelvicachromis pulcher
Adult kribensis live among roots, leaf litter, and caves in calm West African freshwater habitats. They sift through the bottom for small invertebrates, plant material, and detritus, and readily defend a breeding cave. During courtship and territorial disputes, their vivid body colors and fin displays become especially pronounced.
