Bristlenose Pleco
Ancistrus temminckii

Adult bristlenose plecos inhabit shallow, oxygen-rich tropical rivers and streams, resting beneath wood or rocks during the day. They feed mainly by rasping algae and organic films from submerged surfaces, while also consuming detritus and occasional small invertebrates. Males develop prominent facial bristles, which are used in courtship and around nesting sites.
