Cuban Crocodile
Crocodylus rhombifer

Cuban crocodiles inhabit freshwater swamps, marshes, and slow waterways, especially in Cuba's Zapata Swamp and Lanier Swamp. They ambush fish, turtles, birds, and mammals from the water's edge, using powerful jaws and a strong tail. This species is notably more terrestrial and agile than many other crocodiles, capable of moving with a high walk and even brief gallops on land.
