Cuora couro
Cuora couro

Cuora couro inhabits damp forest floors, marshy edges, and slow, shaded waterways in Southeast Asia. It is an opportunistic omnivore, taking worms, snails, carrion, fruit, and other available vegetation. A hinged plastron lets it close its shell tightly, forming a strong defense against many attackers.
