Orange Orb-Weaver Spider
Neoscona adianta

Orange orb-weavers inhabit woodland edges, hedgerows, gardens, and grassy clearings where they can anchor their circular webs among vegetation. They wait near the web, sensing vibrations from trapped flies, moths, and other small insects before rushing in to bite and wrap prey in silk. Their orange-brown, leaf-patterned abdomen helps them blend into bark and dried vegetation. Females are notably larger than males and rebuild or repair their webs regularly.
