Stingless Bee
Scaptotrigona postica

Adult Scaptotrigona postica bees live in tropical forests and disturbed lowland habitats, nesting in cavities and other sheltered spaces. They fly between flowers to collect nectar and pollen, which provide food for themselves and the colony. Although they lack a functional sting, adults can defend themselves with a firm bite and resinous nest materials.
