Barcheek Unicornfish
Naso lituratus
Adults inhabit clear tropical reefs, outer reef slopes, and nearby deep water in the Indo-Pacific. They browse algae and other plant material from hard surfaces with their narrow mouths. Mature fish develop a distinctive horn-like forehead projection and sharp defensive plates near the tail.
