Rummy-nose Tetra
Petitella bleheri

Adults inhabit warm, acidic, slow-moving blackwater rivers and flooded forest channels of the Amazon basin. They feed on small aquatic invertebrates, zooplankton, and bits of plant matter, using quick bursts to seize food and evade threats. Their vivid red face and sharply banded tail are especially clear in clean, well-oxygenated water.
