Chinese leopard gecko
Goniurosaurus luii
The Chinese leopard gecko lives in humid limestone karst forests, sheltering in rocky cracks and caves during the day. At night it stalks insects, spiders, and other small invertebrates with a quick ambush bite. Unlike many geckos, it has movable eyelids, which it uses to protect and clean its eyes.
