Aiptasia-eating Filefish
Acreichthys tomentosus

Adults inhabit shallow tropical reefs, lagoons, and seagrass beds where algae and branching corals provide cover. They use a small, pointed mouth to pick at algae, tiny crustaceans, hydroids, and anemones, including Aiptasia. Their highly variable mottled pattern and laterally compressed body can make them resemble a drifting leaf or fragment of reef growth.
