Longnose Surgeonfish
Zebrasoma rostratum

Adults inhabit clear coral reefs and outer reef slopes in the Indo-Pacific. They use their elongated snouts to pick filamentous algae from tight spaces between corals and rocks. Most activity is spent grazing and moving steadily through reef territory. A blade-like spine on each side of the tail base can slash at an attacker during close defense.
