Weber's Sailfin Lizard
Hydrosaurus weberi
Weber's Sailfin Lizard lives beside rivers and streams in tropical Philippine forest. It spends time in trees and on the ground, slipping into water to escape danger and swimming strongly when needed. Adults eat leaves, fruit, flowers, and occasional animal matter. Males are notable for their tall back and tail sails, which are raised in displays.
