Arcaei Moth Caterpillar
Periphoba arcaei (caterpillar)
This caterpillar lives on the leaves of tropical forest plants, feeding steadily to store energy for metamorphosis. It moves slowly along stems and foliage, chewing broad patches from its host plant. Rows of irritating spines provide a strong defense, making contact unpleasant for would-be predators.
