Kiowa Dancer
Argia insipida
Adult Kiowa Dancers patrol sunny stream margins, ponds, and wet meadows, often resting on low vegetation between flights. They catch small flying insects in midair with their spiny legs. Males are particularly active around water, where they defend perches and seek mates.
