Three-striped Dasher
Micrathyria didyma

This dragonfly patrols sunny ponds, marshes, and nearby open clearings. It catches small flying insects on the wing, using fast turns and powerful vision to pursue prey. Adults often perch briefly between flights, especially near water used for breeding. Its name refers to the distinct pale striping visible on its thorax.
