Bearded Weevil
Rhinostomus barbirostris

Adult bearded weevils inhabit tropical palm-rich areas, often staying on trunks and within damaged or decaying plant material. They feed on palm tissues and sap, using their elongated snout to reach into crevices. Their thick beetle exoskeleton protects the body, while the distinctive bristly snout gives the species its common name.
