Maned Sloth
Bradypus torquatus

The maned sloth inhabits humid Atlantic Forest trees in eastern Brazil, spending most of its life suspended high in the canopy. It feeds chiefly on leaves, buds, and soft shoots, digesting them slowly with a specialized stomach. Its shaggy coat can support algae growth, helping the sloth blend into mossy branches.
