Gray Jay
Perisoreus canadensis

Gray Jays inhabit boreal and montane conifer forests across northern North America. They forage actively through trees and on the ground for insects, berries, seeds, carrion, and small animal prey. Adults store surplus food in crevices and beneath bark, often coating it with sticky saliva to preserve it. Their fearless curiosity around people has earned them the nickname "camp robber" in some regions.
