Brown Chafer Beetle
Adoretus versutus
Adult brown chafer beetles inhabit gardens, cultivated land, and other vegetated areas where they can find broad-leaved plants. They feed by chewing foliage, and may damage ornamental or crop plants when abundant. Their hardened wing covers protect the delicate flight wings folded beneath them.
