Giant Squid
Architeuthis dux

Giant squid inhabit deep ocean waters, usually far below sunlight, and may rise toward shallower depths at night. They hunt fish and other squid using long feeding tentacles lined with suckers, then cut prey with a powerful beak. Their exceptionally large eyes help them detect movement in the dim deep sea.
