Luzon Skimmer
Orthetrum luzonicum
The adult Luzon skimmer hunts around ponds, marshes, ditches, and open wet ground. It perches on exposed stems or twigs, then launches out to catch small flying insects in mid-air. Like other dragonflies, it has large compound eyes that provide an exceptionally broad view while hunting.
