Pennsylvania Wood Cockroach
Parcoblatta pennsylvanica

Adults inhabit forest-floor litter, fallen logs, and the spaces under loose bark across eastern woodlands. They are nocturnal scavengers that eat decaying vegetation, fungi, and other organic debris. Their flattened bodies and hard exoskeleton help them squeeze into sheltered hiding places. Males have long functional wings, while females have much shorter wings.
