Adult Yellow V Moths inhabit buildings and other sheltered places, especially where damp organic material and fungi occur. They are most active in low light and fly weakly but nimbly around walls, stored materials, and crevices. The adult's yellowish forewings bear a distinctive dark V-shaped marking.
