Peach Twig Borer
Anarsia lineatella

The adult peach twig borer is a small gray-brown moth found around orchards and other habitats containing stone-fruit trees. It flies mainly at dusk and night, resting quietly against bark or foliage during the day. Adult feeding is minimal, with much of its energy coming from reserves accumulated as a caterpillar. Females lay eggs on young shoots and fruit so the newly hatched larvae can quickly find plant tissue to bore into.
