White-letter Hairstreak
Satyrium w-album

Adults inhabit elm-lined woodland edges, hedgerows, and mature urban parks. They spend much of their time high in the tree canopy, feeding on honeydew and occasionally visiting flowers. The pale white W-shaped marking on the underside of each hindwing gives the species its common name.
