Spotted Bush Snake
Philothamnus semivariegatus

The spotted bush snake is a swift, slender, tree-climbing snake found in wooded savannas, bushland, and gardens across much of sub-Saharan Africa. Active by day, it hunts through foliage for lizards, frogs, birds, and other small prey. Its green or olive body is often marked with darker spotting that blends into leaves and branches. Despite its quick defensive strikes when handled, it is a nonvenomous colubrid.
