Yellow Anaconda
Eunectes notaeus
Yellow anacondas inhabit swamps, marshes, rivers, and seasonally flooded savannas across central South America. They wait in murky water or dense vegetation before ambushing fish, birds, mammals, and reptiles. Rather than using venom, they overpower prey by gripping it with their jaws and tightening powerful coils.
